1. Design HVAC systems: Develop detailed HVAC system designs, includingheating, cooling and ventilation components, ductwork layout, sizingcalculations etc.2. Collaborate with project team: Work closely with architects,engineers, and construction professionals to integrate HVAC systems intobuilding designs.3. Cross-functional coordination: Coordinate with other disciplines toresolve design conflicts and ensure efficient system integration.4. Perform load calculations: Conduct heat load calculations todetermine the heating and cooling requirements of buildings.5. Select equipment: Evaluate and select HVAC equipment, such aschillers, Precision AC s, pumps, TFA s, Chemical Filter Units,Evaporative cooling, Free cooling, Heat Pump and control systems etc.6. Review HVAC drawings: Review detailed HVAC drawings & schematicsensuring accuracy and compliance as per specifications using CADsoftware.7. Conduct system analysis: Perform energy modelling and simulations toanalyse the performance of HVAC systems.8. Identify opportunities: Look for possibilities in energyconservation, sustainability, and operational efficiency improvements.9. Quality assurance: Review and analyse contractor-submitted HVAC shopdrawings and submittals to ensure compliance with design intent andproject specifications.10. Inspections: Conduct on-site inspections to verify that HVACinstallations meet design requirements. Review shop performance testingof critical equipment.11. Documentation and reports: Generate comprehensive reports, includingdesign calculations, equipment schedules, specifications, andconstruction documents.12. Stay updated on industry trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends,technologies, and advancements in HVAC design, energy efficiency, andsustainability.13. Safety: Ensure HVAC compliance with building codes, energyefficiency standards, and project specifications.
B.E. (Mechanical)
15 to 20 Years
1. Proven experience in HVAC design and engineering, preferably inengineering firms or owner engineering design department experience inData Centre / Telecom facilities is must.2. Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and HVAC loadcalculation tools.3. Strong knowledge of building codes, energy efficiency standards, andindustry best practices. In-depth knowledge of ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC codedesign requirements, Data centre TIER requirements4. Familiarity with sustainable design principles and green buildingcertifications (e.g., LEED).5. Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.6. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.8.
