1. Architect, deploy, and implement IP and MPLS core and aggregation
networks delivering multiple services such as internet, VPNs etc.
2. Design and roll out services including IP/MPLS, dynamic circuit
networks, secure connectivity etc. in line with business and customer
requirements.
3. Plan, design, and implement internet services like ILL, IP Transit,
public and private peering etc.
4. Define and document hardware strategy, platform selection, and
capacity for current and future network growth.
5. Prepare and review RFI/RFP/RFQ documents, define technical
requirements, evaluate vendor responses, and recommend optimal solutions
and products.
6. Monitor IP backbone performance and capacity utilization.
7. Drive proactive upgrades of bandwidth, hardware, and interconnects
based on trend analysis.
8. Use performance reports and trend analyses for effective capacity
planning and expansion.

BE

1. Knowledge of IP/MPLS design and troubleshooting (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP,
MPLS, RSVP, LDP, BFD, QoS/TE)
2. Knowledge of MPLS VPNs (L2/L3), VPLS/EVPN, SD-WAN, IPsec,
ILL/Transit/peering/CDN/DIA
3. Knowledge of Cisco routers/switches/firewalls in SP/ISP environments
4. Knowledge of Capacity planning, monitoring and OSS/BSS
(Granite/OrderCare/HPSM/HPNA)
5. Knowledge of RFI/RFP evaluation and vendor recommendations
6. Critical thinking and problem solving for complex network incidents
